The long agreement.

By creating an account or using Genesis Gates, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend accounts used in violation of these terms.

Free tier is available without payment. Pro and Family tiers are paid subscriptions billed via Stripe, monthly or annually. See /pricing for current rates.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Cancel any time from your dashboard — you keep access through the end of the paid period. Annual plans are refundable within 14 days of purchase if unused; monthly plans are non-refundable but you can downgrade at renewal.

You own everything you upload. Trees, photos, documents, notes, transcripts. You grant Genesis Gates a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely to operate the service for you.

We will never train AI models on your content. AI features are powered by third-party models we call on a per-request basis, with content shared only for that request.

The Genesis Gates name, software, and design system are owned by Genesis Gates Inc.

You may not:

• Upload content you do not have the right to upload.
• Use Genesis Gates to harass, deceive, or harm anyone.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service.
• Bypass tier limits or share paid-tier accounts commercially.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Sealing a record anchors it to Arweave and Base. The seal is permanent and public by design — that is the entire point. You cannot un-seal. Sealing is gated behind the Family tier and clearly marked before confirmation. You are responsible for the content you seal.

Features marked "beta" may change, break, or be removed without notice. They are provided as-is.

You can delete your account from the dashboard at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice unless the violation requires immediate action.

Genesis Gates is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep your data safe but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or freedom from all defects. Genealogical information surfaced by AI tools is a research aid, not a verified record.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Genesis Gates' total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the prior twelve months.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
