About us

Genealogy is more astral atlas than spreadsheet.

Every life a point of light. Every line a thread of inheritance. Genesis Gates is the tool we wished existed when we started mapping our own families.

The origin

Genesis Gates started with a single frustration: the giants of online genealogy are slow, paywalled at every turn, and treat your family record as a lead-generation funnel. We wanted something fast, mobile-first, beautiful to look at, and built to outlast any company — including ours.

So we built it. Every view is interactive. Every record is yours to export. Every photo is yours to keep. And the most important records — the ones you want sealed for your grandchildren — get anchored to public, permanent storage that no platform owns.

What we're building

Trees

Six ways to see one tree — your dad's side, your mom's side, a pedigree fan, a sphere, a tower, and a world atlas. Each one tells you something different about your family.

Sealed Records

Anchor your most important documents to Arweave and Base. Permanent. Verifiable. Yours forever — even if Genesis Gates disappears tomorrow.

Memorial

A separate, calm site for funerals and celebrations of life. Family-owned guestbooks, photo walls, livestream embeds. No ads, ever.

What we believe

Your data is yours. One-click export to a standard family-tree file, anytime. No lock-in. If you leave, you take everything with you.

Speed is a feature. A family tree should feel like a living document, not a database spreadsheet. We obsess about render time on phones.

Privacy is the floor. Living people are hidden by default in public links. Sealed records are opt-in and confirmed twice. We do not train AI on your tree.

Built for the long term. Open formats, public anchors, a sovereign backup you can take with you. The point of a family record is that it outlasts the recorder.

Where we're based
